Protecting Yourself from Fake Apps and Websites

Last updated on March 11, 2026

Scammers create fake versions of legitimate platforms. These copies look identical to the real Bitlease website or app but are designed to steal your credentials when you log in.

This article explains how to identify and avoid these imitations.

How to Verify You Are on the Real Website

Check the URL Carefully

Before entering any information, examine the URL in your browser's address bar.

Correct:
https://bitlease.com
https://app.bitlease.com

Incorrect:
http://bitlease.com (no "s" in https)
https://bitlease.net
https://secure-bitlease.com
https://bitlease-login.com

Protection Strategies

Establish Trusted Access Method

For Website:

  1. Visit bitlease.com by typing the URL manually

  2. Verify everything is correct

  3. Bookmark the page

  4. Only use this bookmark for future access

If you receive an email or message saying: "Your account requires attention - click here to log in."

Do not click the link. Instead:

  1. Close the email/message

  2. Open your bookmarked bitlease.com or open the app directly

  3. Log in normally

  4. Check for any actual issues

If the message was legitimate, any actual issue appears when you log in directly.
