How to Verify your Identity (KYC Ptocess)

Initial Profile Setup

Complete your identity verification to unlock full platform access
Bitlease requires identity verification to comply with financial regulations and protect your account. Without verification, you cannot deposit funds, create LTO contracts, or withdraw assets. Go to Profile and click on the verification.

All information you provide is encrypted and securely stored for verification purposes only.

What You'll Need

Before starting, prepare:

• Government-Issued Photo ID
  Valid passport, national ID card, or driver's license (not expired)

• Proof of Address (issued within the last 3 months)
  Utility bill, bank statement, or government correspondence showing your name and current address

• Personal Information
  Legal name, date of birth, residential address, and tax identification number (depending on your country)
  

  

Verification Process

Step 1: Identity Verification

Provide your legal first name, last name, and date of birth exactly as they appear on your government ID. Any mismatch will cause delays.

Step 2: your Document Type

Choose your Document Type.

Step 3: Upload Documents

Upload the front and back sides of your document. After submission, you'll see a Pending Review message. The verification team will review your documents within 24-48 hours. You'll receive an email notification once verification is complete.

Step 4: Address Verification

Field label: "Address Line 1."
What to enter:
Your primary residential address. This is your street number and street name.
Requirements:

• Must be your current residential address

• Must match the address on your proof of address document

Field label: "City."
What to enter:
The city where you reside.

Field label: "State/Province."
What to enter:
Your state, province, or emirate, depending on your country's administrative structure.
Examples:

• Dubai (for UAE)

• California (for USA)

• Ontario (for Canada)

• Bavaria (for Germany)

Field label: "Postal Code."
What to enter:
Your area's postal or ZIP code.
Format varies by country:

• USA: 5 digits (90210) or 9 digits (90210-1234)

• UK: Format like SW1A 1AA

• UAE: May not use postal codes (leave blank or enter as directed)

• Canada: Format like M5H 2N2

Field label: "Country."
What to enter:
Your country of residence.

Step 5: Proceed to Next Step

After completing all required fields, click the "Next" and upload proof of your address. It can be a recent utility bill, bank statement, or government letter showing your address (dated within the last 3 months).

Verification Timeline

Most verifications are complete within 1-2 business days. Complex cases or high submission volumes may extend this to 72 hours. Check your verification status anytime in your account profile section.

Common Rejection Reasons

Blurry Photos
Retake photos in better lighting with a steady hand.
Information Mismatch
Ensure the name and address on your form exactly match your documents.
Expired Documents
Use current, valid ID and recent proof of address (within 90 days).
Poor Quality
Avoid glare, shadows, or cut-off corners. Ensure text is fully readable.

After Approval

Once approved, you can immediately deposit funds, create LTO contracts, and withdraw assets according to your account limits. Your security status will be upgraded, and you'll have full access to Bitlease features.
